Maybe. I'm not sure about the MX-3. I'd get that gas out of there, and check the basics like oil and filters. Maybe spark plugs and distributor cap too.

Will do! does it make sense to prime the engine without the pump fuse and with spark plugs pulled just to build up oil pressure before starting the engine ?
definitely prime the engine a bit. I would pull the plugs before doing so that way you aren't actually fighting compression while trying to build oil pressure
